If Baroque music is the expression of the "theatre of passion", then what about Mozart's operas? Do you want something tragic? Listen to Pamina sing "Ach ich fühl's". Something charming? "La ci darem la mano" by Don Giovanni and Zerlina. Something ill-fated? "Fuor del mar" by Idomeneo. Something mocking? "Non più andrai farfallone amoroso" by Figaro. And what about the ensembles which the brilliant Wolfgang Amadeus puts to music better than anyone else?
