The Christmas cake story goes that in the early days people used to eat a simple porridge on Christmas Eve after a day of fasting. They then added dried fruits and spices to make it special for Christmas. Down the years, flour replaced oatmeal, and eggs and butter were added to bind the pudding better.
All of our cakes are baked on the premises by our Master Baker. Take them home for an extra special festive accompaniment to your meals.
