15 years ago, we founded the Bahrain Society for Children with Behavioral & Communication Difficulties (BSCBCD) to promote lifelong access and opportunity for individuals with behavioral and communication difficulties. Over the years, we have advanced this mission through education, advocacy, active public awareness, and the promotion of research.
As we approach our 15-year anniversary, we wanted to reach out to you asking if your organization would support our very special Charity Gala Dinner at planned for 23-January 2020, by purchasing tickets . This star-studded event will help bring attention to our mission while raising funds for our upcoming youth care project: We aim to build a unique, first-of-its-kind youth care facility offering critical residential and day programs to developmentally delayed young adults in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The event will include a charity auction, live entertainment by The Mohammed bin Faris Band, fine dinning and more!
The event shall take please at Al Maha Ballroom- Downtown Rotana.
The new “Alia Home” will be a brand-new facility with all the amenities of a modern home. Once completed, the home will open its doors to 30 moderately developmentally delayed young adults ages 16 and over. Services offered at the home will include full-time residential care, private rooms, medical care, entertainment and recreational opportunities, and educational and job skills training. The facility will include 10 private rooms, a cafeteria, living and socializing areas, and entertainment facilities. Our goal with the Alia Home is to help those with developmental difficulties to live life to the fullest in a family atmosphere that creates a better tomorrow. The home will be open to and supportive of participation from residents’ families.
To bring this project to fruition, we will need to raise BD1.6 million in the initial fundraising phase, with an additional BD750,000 before the facility construction begins. The remaining BD850,000 will be raised in the first year. BSCBCD is a charity registered under the ministry of social affairs in Bahrain, so all donations are tax deductible.
Your contribution at our gala will show the people of Bahrain that you are committed to the wellbeing of all our Kingdom’s residents, including and especially our nation’s most vulnerable and at-risk people.
