The Ministry of Culture is organizing an 8 day workshop that enables Bahraini and Gulf workers who have careers in the cultural field to learn from the Berlin University, how to utilize such immense experience in this field.
Aim Sharpening the participants capacities to effectively manage cultural organizations and events on different levels and scale in Bahrain. Enabling each participant's ability to deal with different artistic, institutional, and business problems in practical and theoretical terms. Broadening outlooks on the social, economic, and political climate and the role of arts and cultural institutions in the national as well as in the international art sector.

Content Cultural Project Management, Arts Management Entrepreneurial Style, Project Planning and Financing, European Funding.
Method 1- Best Practice Examples from Europe Presentations of varying Cultural Organizations (Festivals, Theatres, Galleries, Creative Industries) and discussion of concepts and strategies 2- Group work on Case Studies The participants will work in peer groups on prepared case studies during the whole seminar. The three case studies are descriptions of actual administrative situations in three cultural organizations (eg. museum, festival, gallery) involving a decision to be made or a problem to be solved. The cases are derived from real situations that actually happened just as described. The participants take the place of the cultural managers whose responsibility is to make decisions to help solve the problem. The focus is on students learning through their joint, co-operative effort. On the last day, the peer groups present their solutions. 3- Lectures Lectures on cultural project management and Arts management Entrepreneurial Style.
